Team Sports Gear Guide was founded by Christopher Davis, a former Division I college athlete and certified sports equipment specialist based in Austin, Texas. With over 15 years of experience coaching youth and amateur sports, Christopher brings firsthand knowledge of what athletes need to perform at their best.
After competing in collegiate soccer and basketball, Christopher spent a decade coaching youth leagues across multiple sports — from Little League football to club volleyball. Frustrated by the lack of honest, experience-based gear reviews, he created Team Sports Gear Guide to cut through the marketing hype and deliver straightforward recommendations grounded in real gameplay testing.
